Opened in July 2020 as a new project of the owners of the Aqua e Vino Italian Restaurant, it is located within the old city market (Stary Kleparz), a strategic location just a short distance from the main market square. Within a few months of opening, Baqaro had already become a landmark location for all those people who love to stop for a short break between shopping to enjoy a typical Venetian sandwich in its many variations, perhaps accompanied by a glass of prosecco or the now very popular Baqaro Spritz, a cocktail based on sparkling wine and an exclusively produced herbal liqueur. Following its success, Baqaro has opened a second bar in Rakowicka Street 11 where, in addition to the typical Venetian products offered at the Stary Kleparz bar, customers can also try the Pinsa Romana (a Roman-style hand-pressed pizza), a product of excellence showcased only in Cracow.

Another highly successful baqaro speciality is the roman pinsa, a review of an ancient recipe dating from ancient rome, reworked thanks to modern ingredients and processing techniques. Thanks to a blend of three different flours (wheat, rice and soya) and the mother yeast, this product is extremely crisp, fragrant and very digestible
Our speciality is the venetian tramezzino, which is a sandwich composed of soft bread without a crust cut in a triangle or rolled and combined with multiple ingredients: from tuna, eggs and olives to venetian soppressa with artichokes, from smoked salmon with mozzarella and salad to turkey breast with tomato and rucola, from those with spinach, gorgonzola and walnuts to those with spicy spianata and marinated peppers. ideal for a quick lunch, an afternoon snack or an evening aperitif, maybe accompanied by a glass of prosecco or our famous baqaro spritz.
Thanks to our marine aquarium, we are always able to to offer you fresh oysters, french oysters which you can taste in three different versions: natural (maybe with a little lemon and a drop of tabasco), with a mignonette sauce, and for those who are bolder, with our tiger milk based sauce.
Our italian cured meat platters (parma ham, veneta soppressa, mortadella with pistachios and prague ham) are served with artisan breadsticks and homemade bread or, on request, with our roman pinsa focaccia

Our baqaro aperitif is a herb-based liqueur produced exclusively for baqaro by a famous italian distillery. A citrus flavoured liqueur that is born from an infusion of herbs and spices has been selected to be mixed with our sparkling wine. With the addition of a slice of orange and an olive, our famous baqaro spritz is ready!
